I have been having quite a few dreams about rivers and waterfalls lately. All of them have been extremely vivid and have contained some element of danger.

My dream last night was about this river that I had hiked a trail that runs along beside it … I had hiked this trail once long ago and was doing it again. At one point I had to cross the rushing water and it was deep. I was very concerned about getting my pack wet because I had my laptop in it. While crossing the river I almost get swept away in the current. I continue the hike and come to a popular tourist spot where there are two huge water waterfall (one a traditional waterfall with lots of rocky ledges and the other just a straight, sheer drop off). The river feeds these waterfalls and also bypasses them by continuing on through this chute of water. Now I am in the water and riding down through the chute and watching all the tourists behaving dangerously along the top of the waterfall with the sheer drop. Eventually I come to a place where there are lots of trees overhanging the river and it forks in a few directions creating several islands amongst the trees. Nestled here is some sort of exclusive camp with wooden huts. A Woman is in charge of this camp. People are staying there and I meet with this fella who is also a fellow traveler. I am there for a while but somehow realize that the Woman who runs the place is bad and intent on doing harm to all the folks staying there. The Fellow Traveler, myself and a couple of others decide to make an escape. We make a break for it and then realize that the Woman is coming after us with two Henchmen. Then we are in a car traveling on a road that runs beside the river. The Woman and her Henchmen are in a car behind us. The Fellow Traveler states that he’s had a vision of how we can knock the Woman’s car into the river and kill her and her Henchmen. We can dump them into the river and the car will overturn and thus stop them chasing us.

That’s when I woke up.
