One of the things that’s interesting about the new Nine Inch Nails album is the artwork. Every single one of the 36 instrumental tracks has a different piece of artwork/photography that appears when you listen to the album in iTunes or on your iPod. I think this is a pretty sweet thing that Reznor has done. The artwork for each track seems to match up and provide a visual representation of the music. I find it interesting that none of the online reviews I have read so far make any mention of this as it seems (to me anyway) to be an important aspect of “Ghosts I-IV.” It truly is a melding of traditional art and music. A little self-indulgent on Mr. Reznor’s part? Maybe … but it’s cool none the less.
ohhhh – I’d love to see that…I’m so “old fashioned” when it comes to music listening – I listen to cd’s on cd players and sometimes Roger’s lp’s on the record player, and that’s about it….
