While I am starting to tear what little bit of my hair remains out over “Cabaret,” you can go to your local store and grab these great goodies that came out this week.

One of my favorites from earlier in the year … William Friedkin’s film version of the Tracy Letts stage play “Bug.” I have never been a huge Ashley Judd fan, but she made me a believer playing the emotionally damaged and physically abused waitress Agnes. Micheal Shannon also is really great as Peter (a lone drifter whom the bugs soon follow).

Finally!!! After eight years of waiting, the good folks behind “The Simpsons” have released another cd (“Testify“) containing music and musical numbers from the show. Highlights from the 41 track disc are the B-52’s performing “Glove Slap” and a medley of tunes from “The President Wore Pearls” (the super excellent “Evita” parody episode).
