On Saturday, Preston, Tom and I hiked that familiar (and steep) trail to The Pinnacle just outside of Sylva. When we started off it was sunny and warm. We climbed steadily uphill, but as we got closer to the top the clouds rolled in and it became a grey and overcast day. We heard quite a few different birds in the woods including woodpeckers and owls. Pretty sweet. Up top it was cold and windy and it rained a little on us. But you can’t complain too much about all that when you’ve gotten to spend some time out in nature with good friends. You can some more pictures if you jump inside.

The woods are slowly starting to turn green again.
Some remains of the old water reservoir system.
Take a wild guess who this is.
Tom and I try to look like we … well, I don’t know.
Neat pix!!
