Hi. How are y’all? Been doing well I hope.
Seems like I might have gotten back into a rut here … posting just little tid bits and stuff instead of being all “here’s everything that went on.” Not that there is anything I am avoiding. Things here have been going pretty well minus the anxiety issues that started up right before Thanksgiving. Oh yeah … and that month of having strep throat.
Been on a bit of a DVD bender again the past few months having bought and/or received more movies than you can shake a stick at: “Black Christmas,” “The Venture Bros.: The Complete First Season,” “The Hammer Horror Collection,” “The Ultimate Classic Sci-Fi Collection,” “In the Mood for Love,” “The Man Who Fell to Earth,” “Forbidden Planet: Special Edition,” “Doctor Who: Inferno,” “Doctor Who: Genesis of the Daleks,” “Doctor Who: The Hand of Fear,” “Doctor Who: The Complete First Series,” “The Hills Have Eyes” (2006), “Elvira, Mistress of the Dark,” “Home Movies: The Complete Third Season,” “Home Movies: The Complete Fourth Season,” “Hard Candy,” “Jason X,” “Doctor Who: The Complete Second Series” … and probably five (or more) others I can’t remember off the top of my brain.
What else? I was in a small part in the local production of “Orpheus Descending” last November. I actually have two pictures of me in that production. I need to post them at some point. I got to play a slow, mean redneck. It was fun. Right after that show closed we started the kinda slack rehearsals for “Art” which we performed last weekend and will be holding over this coming weekend. After “Art” is finished, I will be on a wee bit of a break from theater. That will kick back into high gear after the summer when I head up the fall production of “Cabaret.”
Yes, yes. I have actually been out on some dates as well. You read that right. Plural meaning more than one fella. Started seeing the fella from A-ville right after “The Full Monty” closed and we went out for a bit. Now I have met this fella from High Point (three hours away … Grrrrr!) and that seems to rockin’ along pretty well. He’s a total cutie.
And for the record: I have been listening to too much Pet Shop Boys this past week. Lordy, I love them!
I’m going through a Sinead O’Connor phase. She is the best female vocalist since Patsy Cline.
I really do like Sinead O’Connor too. Too bad she has gotten such a bad rap here in America. One of my favorite tunes by here is “You Made Me the Thief of Your Heart” from the In the Name of the Father soundtrack.
