Kameraaktualisierung …

Damn, damn, damn you … Archer and Mom! Advocating me charging up my credit card again when I am trying so hard to pay it off. And we all know it doesn’t take much to talk me into something I already want anyway.

My Canon PowerShot S1 IS Update:
My ole PowerShot is at a camera repair shop (thanks Christy!) with an estimate of around $90 to get it fixed. So, what I am thinking at this point is get the PowerShot fixed and purchase a Canon Digital Rebel XT. That way I have a “Point and Shoot” camera to kick around with and a “Professional” camera to do some nicer stuff with (and possibly make some $$ selling prints … if there are any that turn out good, that is). Photography was the subject I liked the best when I was in school. It would be nice to get back into it.

Good thinking, Son. And even before you sell the first print, you can deduct the cost of the camera as a business expense. Just set up a website for selling the prints, and you are legit. All website expenses are also deductible. All process and shipping costs are also deductible. Just keep track of everything like we talked about and you are good to go! (We’ll get you a refund next year for sure!!)

P.S. For all this good advice, the only payment I ask is my framed 11×14 print of the calla lilies at the Pike Place Market!! LOL

P.S. again…………..there are websites that feature amateur photographer’s work that are already set up. Maybe you could find one of those to use as an outlet for your work and let THEM do all the advertising. Any fees they charge are, you guessed it, deductible. I’m not sure how you go about copyrighting stuff to prevent unauthorized reproducing, but I’m sure someone out there knows…………..
