yeah, i saw it recently and i loved it. i was wondering if it would be ‘preaching to the choir’, but it’s got something to say for everybody regardless of orientation, etc. a terrific movie. and i think that jake gyllenhaal’s performance is currently very underrated.
It was an amazing movie. I got a tear or two in my eye as well. When the DVD comes out, it will be added to my collection.
seriously–what’s with all this “gyllenhaal was creepy.” “gyllenhaal was a sexual predator.” WTF?! do they say that about romeo, or *any* hetero romantic hero in pursuit of his amor? It’s a load of horseshit.
Charles…..I’m amazed at your writing on my website. And, it’s funny-not haha funny, but it’s funny how as I read, your tone or voice or something reminded me of…well, me! *laughing* — maybe warped mind to warped mind? For, I have my own side which writes like that, or things of that nature.
At any rate, the writing is well-crafted…..consistent in tone, pace – it is ethereal, silent, reverent, bittersweet. full of nature….nature and this one man who just wants to sleep very deeply.
