I must say that I am very disappointed that we here in the wilds of America are not getting a chance to see “Brokeback Mountain” just yet … especially since all the promo materials say “In Theaters December 9” not “In Select Cities December 9.” But, what can ya do?
It will interesting to see just what kind of buzz is generated by the movie in mainstream American. ‘Cause we already know that the religious nuts are gonna hate it.
I’m going tomorrow with a big box of kleenex!
A group of us here are hitting “Narnia” and “Syriana” tomorrow. So, no hankies necessary. Can’t wait to see “Brokeback Mountain.”
It doesn’t open here until the 16th. I can’t wait to see it.
Scott waited in line for 40 minutes in the freezing cold to get tickets to the show 7 hours later! beautiful film – amazing story, overwhelmingly subtle, and sad sad sad……
It WAS “in theaters december 9” — just not the ones you’d prefer. (Opens in Atlanta this weekend, if you’re up for the drive… otherwise, probably not until late January).
Not a question of “up for the drive” …. more of a “do I have the time to make a road trip as X-Mas duties are now eating up the weekends.”
