Friday Night:
Had a nice dinner down at Roger M.’s (the fella who played the voice of Audrey II) with his wife and my Ass. Director and Stage Manager there as well. Good food and drink with some super people. I discovered that Roger has a love a Jazz music and raw biscuit dough, which was really cool as I have a love a Jazz music and raw biscuit dough as well.

Saturday:
Saw “Jarhead” during the afternoon and liked it but wasn’t “wowed” by it. Jake does look quite tasty (as well as Peter Sarsgaard) but there really isn’t any reason for him to parade around in nothing but a Santa hat. Maybe it’s just a ploy to get gay men and women to see the movie. It’s just further proof that this year has been bad for movies. There have been some good films, but none of them have totally “clicked” to make them great films. I still think “The Constant Gardener” has been the best movie so far the year. It clicked.

Went to the birthday party for Mary in the evening. Lots of fun with friends and a videoke machine. Michelle always hosts a nice party. I cut out around 11:00 and, from what I hear, the party went on until 2:00 in the morning. Yow! I think I am getting a little too old to stay up quite that late.

Sunday:
Had some work for the theater to get done in the morning. Then it was off to Sylva for the 5th Anniversary party of the big ole OITM gay group. After that I went to straight to my cousin’s birthday party, which was a little a wee bit stressful as I think all family events have to be. But, the food was good and it’s good to catch up with the relatives.

And now, it’s back to work. Whoo.
