We’re watching television when a noise from outside distracts us. Shanda looks out the window.

“The raccoon is back and he’s eating the cat food!”

She goes over and opens the door. Mr. Raccoon doesn’t pay any attention to Shanda as she tries to get him to leave. The raccoon just continues to shovel cat food into his mouth. When she takes a step towards him, he backs away from her … dragging the food dish with him. Forrest comes over to help out. I guess to make sure Mr. Raccoon doesn’t freak out and maul his girlfriend.

Damn. And I thought there was no need to cart my camera around this evening.

“Oh, please little raccoon. That food’s for the cats … not for you.”

Mr. Raccoon moves away just enough for Shanda to rescue the cat food. With the food source now removed, the raccoon scampers off into the darkness.
