‘Tis the Season …

… for egg nog!

Folks who buy pre-packaged egg nog and just add booze to it are lame and lazy. Mom’s special recipe is fun and easy!

First, you separate your egg whites from your egg yolks.

Then, take the egg whites and beat then until they are stiff … then add the sugar.

Take the egg yolks and beat until very light … then add the sugar (redux).

Combine the two and stir until thoroughly mixed.

Now, for the heavy whipping cream. Beat the cream until it’s stiff.

Add the stiffened cream to the pot and fold it in.

Now add the good stuff … milk, whiskey, rum and brandy.

Use a high fashion automotive oil funnel to help you bottle your egg nog. Large Gatorade bottles work great.

Once bottled, refrigerate for at least one week, making sure to shake the bottle every day.

Voilà! After a week of gettin’ all tasty, the egg nog will be ready to serve. Be sure to grate fresh nutmeg on top of each serving for a super tasty holiday treat!
